Convert TXT to EPUB.
Turn a plain text story, notes or manuscript into an EPUB ebook that reflows on Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books and phones.
Read it like a book
A long text file is awkward on a phone or e-reader: tiny fixed text and no way to keep your place. An EPUB reflows to the screen, remembers where you stopped and lets you change the font size.
UTF-8 text works best
Save the text as UTF-8 and accents, Greek, Cyrillic and Chinese characters come through cleanly.
Size change
An EPUB is a small zip of web pages, so it is usually close to the size of the text, plus a few kilobytes.

Common questions
Is it free?+
Yes. Convert TXT to EPUB free. No signup and no watermark. Free covers 10 server conversions a day, up to 100 MB a file. Pro removes the daily limit and raises the file limit to 2 GB.
Is my file private?+
Your file is uploaded to a private bucket, converted on our own engine, and auto-deleted after 1 hour. It is never sent to a third-party converter.
How do I make chapters?+
Put a line that starts with # and a space, such as # Chapter One, after a blank line. Each one starts a new chapter and appears in the book's contents. Without them, the whole text is one chapter.
What will the book be called?+
Plain text has no title field, so the EPUB is titled Document. You can rename it in Calibre or your reading app. Note that the text is read as Markdown, so words between single asterisks come out in italics.
