How small will it get?+

It depends on the PDF: scans and image-heavy documents often shrink 50-80%. If a PDF is already optimized, we tell you and hand back the original untouched, so you never end up with a bigger file.

Is my file private?+

Yes. It's uploaded over an encrypted connection, compressed on our own server with no third-party APIs, and the upload and result are deleted after 1 hour.

Will it ruin the quality?+

We use a balanced "ebook" setting (~150 DPI) that keeps text crisp and images clear on screen and for everyday printing.

Is there a limit?+

No watermark, no signup, and generous file sizes, free to use.

Why isn't this in my browser like your other PDF tools?+

Real compression re-encodes images and fonts, which needs a proper engine (Ghostscript). Merge, split and rotate stay in your browser; compression runs on our private server and is deleted after 1 hour.
