How it works

  1. 01

    Add your clip

Drop in an MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM. It's uploaded privately over TLS and deleted within an hour.

  2. 02

    We fit Discord's limit

We target 10 MB — Discord's free upload cap — picking the bitrate that lands your clip just under it while keeping it watchable.

  3. 03

    Send it on Discord

Download the compressed clip and drop it straight into any channel or DM — no Nitro needed.

Other targets: 8 MB · 10 MB · 25 MB · just make it smaller.

Common questions

What's Discord's upload limit?+

On a free account Discord caps uploads at 10 MB (it was 8 MB for years). Nitro raises it, but this tool gets your clip under the free limit so you don't need it. If you're on an older 8 MB server, use our 8 MB page.

Will my clip still look good?+

For typical short Discord clips, yes — we tune the bitrate to the length so it stays sharp. Long videos have to spread 10 MB across more footage, so trimming the best moment first helps a lot.

Is my video private?+

It's uploaded over an encrypted connection, compressed on our server, and both the upload and the result are deleted within an hour. No account, no watermark.

What if it's still too big?+

We hand back the smallest watchable version and tell you if it's just over 10 MB — trim the clip and try again, or upload to a server with a higher boost limit.

Which formats work?+

MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and most common video files. MP4 comes back as MP4 — exactly what Discord wants.
