How much smaller will it get?+

It depends on the image: photos and screenshots often shrink 40-80%, especially when they carry camera/EXIF metadata. If an image is already optimized, we tell you and hand back the original untouched, so you never end up with a bigger file.

Will it keep the same format?+

Yes. A JPG stays a JPG, a PNG stays a PNG, a WebP stays a WebP. We just re-encode it smaller. To change format, use our converters instead.

Is my image private?+

Yes. It's uploaded over an encrypted connection, compressed on our own server with no third-party APIs, and the upload and result are deleted after 1 hour.

Will it ruin the quality?+

We use a balanced quality target that stays visually clean for the web and everyday use, and we strip metadata (EXIF/ICC) rather than throwing away picture detail.
