Will I lose the styling?+
SRT is a plain-text format with no styling, so the fonts, colours and positioning that ASS supports are dropped — that's the trade-off for universal compatibility. The text and timing, which is what most players need, come through exactly.
What's the difference between ASS and SSA?+
SSA (SubStation Alpha) is the original; ASS (Advanced SubStation Alpha) is the newer, more capable version. We accept either and produce standard SRT.
