OGA → MP3

Convert OGA to MP3.

OGA is the audio that WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal save voice notes in — and half your apps refuse to open it. Turn it into MP3 that plays on absolutely everything.

Why won't my voice note open?

When you export a chat or save a voice message, messaging apps hand you a .oga file. Inside it's usually Opus audio in an Ogg container — a genuinely good, modern codec. The problem is reach: Windows Media Player, a lot of phones, most email clients and plenty of audio editors simply don't know what to do with it. MP3 is the opposite — old and a little less efficient, but it plays on every device and app ever made.

A note on quality

This is a re-encode between two lossy formats, so we keep the bitrate high to stay faithful. For speech — which is what voice notes are — the difference is inaudible. If you only need to play the note somewhere it currently won't open, this is exactly the conversion you want.

Need the words, not the audio?

Hand the MP3 to TranscriptAI and get a clean transcript, summary and notes — handy when a five-minute voice note could have been two sentences.

Common questions

What is an OGA file?+

OGA is an Ogg-container audio file — the format messaging apps use for voice notes. It's really just Opus or Vorbis audio with a .oga (or .ogg) extension, which is why some players won't open it.

Is it free?+

Yes — convert OGA to MP3 free, with no signup. Paid plans add larger files and bigger batches.

Is my file private?+

Uploads go to a private bucket, are converted, and auto-delete after 1 hour. Your voice notes never touch a third-party converter.

Can I convert a whole WhatsApp export?+

Yes — drop all the .oga files at once and download them back as a single zip.
