What is PDF/A?+
PDF/A is the ISO standard for long-term archiving. It embeds all fonts and removes anything that depends on external resources, so the document looks and prints identically decades from now — which is why courts, governments and libraries require it.
Which PDF/A version do you produce?+
PDF/A-2b, a widely accepted archival profile. We embed fonts and convert colors to device-independent values; the file is tagged as PDF/A in its XMP metadata.
Is it certified compliant?+
We produce a PDF/A-flagged file with Ghostscript, which is reliable for everyday archiving. We don't run a separate certification validator, so if your workflow demands a formally validated PDF/A, verify it with your own validator (e.g. veraPDF).
Is my file private?+
Yes. It's uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our own server with no third-party APIs, and the upload and result are deleted within one hour.
