What is PDF/A?+
PDF/A is the ISO standard for long-term archiving. It embeds all fonts and removes anything that depends on external resources, so the document looks and prints identically decades from now, which is why courts, governments and libraries require it.
Which PDF/A version do you produce?+
PDF/A-2b, a widely accepted archival profile. We embed fonts and convert colors to device-independent values; the file is tagged as PDF/A in its XMP metadata.
Is it certified compliant?+
We produce a PDF/A-flagged file with Ghostscript, which is reliable for everyday archiving. We don't run a separate certification validator, so if your workflow demands a formally validated PDF/A, verify it with your own validator (e.g. veraPDF).
Is my file private?+
Yes. It's uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our own server with no third-party APIs, and the upload and result are deleted after 1 hour.
Is there a limit?+
