Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These terms govern your use of FileWhirl, a file-conversion service operated by TranscriptAI Pty Ltd (Australia). By using FileWhirl you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
01The service
FileWhirl converts files between formats using established local engines. Conversion is provided on a best-effort basis: results depend on your source file, and some conversions (OCR, scanned PDFs, complex office layouts, speech-to-text) are inherently approximate. We aim for the best available quality, not a guarantee of perfection.
02Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use FileWhirl to:
- convert files you don't own or have the rights to;
- process illegal, infringing, or malicious content;
- abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service;
- circumvent rate limits, file-size limits, or security controls.
You are solely responsible for the files you upload and what you do with the outputs.
03Your files and retention
Uploaded files and outputs are automatically deleted within one hour, and download links expire on the same timeframe. FileWhirl is not a storage service — keep your own copy of anything important. You retain all rights to your files; we claim no ownership of your content.
04Plans and payment
FileWhirl offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe as part of your TranscriptAI subscription. Limits (such as file size and batch size) depend on your plan and are described on the pricing page. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
05TranscriptAI handoff
When you choose to send a converted file to TranscriptAI, your use of TranscriptAI is governed by TranscriptAI's own terms and privacy policy.
06Disclaimer and liability
FileWhirl is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that conversions will be error-free, lossless, or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TranscriptAI Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data — which is why you should always keep your originals.
07Suspension and changes
We may suspend or limit access to protect the service or other users, and we may change or discontinue features. We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
08Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Questions or notices: admin@transcriptai.io.
