Common questions
Will it lose quality?+
We re-encode only the trimmed section at high quality so the cut is frame-accurate (copying without re-encoding can only cut on keyframes, which makes the start jumpy). For most footage the change is imperceptible.
What formats can I trim?+
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, M4V and more, anything ffmpeg reads. The clip comes back in the same format you uploaded.
Is there a watermark or signup?+
No watermark, no signup. Free for files up to 100 MB, or 2 GB on Pro.
Is my video private?+
Yes. It's uploaded over an encrypted connection to our private storage (Supabase, named in our privacy policy), processed on our own engine, never by an outside conversion service, and the upload and result are deleted after 1 hour.
How do I enter the times?+
Use mm:ss (like 1:30) or plain seconds (like 90). Scrub the preview player to find the exact moments you want.
