Common questions
Can it open a PDF without the password?+
No. And that's by design. You need the current password. This removes a password you already know (so you stop typing it every time), it doesn't crack or bypass one you don't have.
Do you keep my password?+
No. Your password is used once on our server to decrypt the file, then discarded. We never store it.
Is this legal?+
Only unlock PDFs you own or have the right to open. Removing protection from someone else's confidential document without permission may be against the law.
Is my file private?+
Yes. It's uploaded over an encrypted connection, unlocked on our own server with no third-party APIs, and the upload and result are deleted after 1 hour.
Is there a limit?+
