Share a design without Photoshop

Clients, colleagues and websites rarely accept PSD. Converting gives a flat image anyone can view, while you keep the layered original.

When GIF is the right target

GIF suits banners, buttons and simple web graphics with a limited palette, and places that require GIF. For a photo or a design with gradients, PSD to PNG or PSD to JPG keeps far more colour.

Size change

The GIF is a tiny fraction of the PSD, because it drops the layers, masks and editing data and keeps only the final picture.

Common questions

Is it free?+

Yes. Convert PSD to GIF free. No signup and no watermark. Free covers 10 server conversions a day, up to 100 MB a file. Pro removes the daily limit and raises the file limit to 2 GB.

Is my file private?+

Your file is uploaded to a private bucket, converted on our own engine, and auto-deleted after 1 hour. It is never sent to a third-party converter.

Are layers kept?+

No. GIF has no layers. The converter uses the merged image Photoshop stores in the file, so you get what the document looks like with its visible layers.

Why is the result blank or wrong?+

The merged image is only saved when Maximize Compatibility is on, which is Photoshop's default. If it was turned off, open the PSD in Photoshop and save it again with that option on. Transparent areas are not kept in the GIF.
