Send a design anywhere

A JPG is the easiest way to show a client a mock-up, post a design or attach it to an email. Everyone can open it, unlike a PSD.

Quality and size

The JPG is saved at standard quality, which looks right on screen and is a small fraction of the PSD's size, because layers and editing data are dropped. Keep the PSD as your master copy.

PNG or JPG?

Choose JPG for photos and rich imagery where size matters. Choose PNG when the design has transparency, sharp text or flat colour that must stay crisp.

Common questions

Is it free?+

Yes. Convert PSD to JPG free. No signup and no watermark. Free covers 10 server conversions a day, up to 100 MB a file. Pro removes the daily limit and raises the file limit to 2 GB.

Is my file private?+

Your file is uploaded to a private bucket, converted on our own engine, and auto-deleted after 1 hour. It is never sent to a third-party converter.

Are layers kept?+

No. JPG is a flat image. The converter uses the merged image stored in the PSD, so the result matches the visible layers when the file was saved.

What happens to transparency?+

JPG cannot hold transparency, so transparent areas are not kept. If you need them, convert PSD to PNG instead.

My JPG looks blank or wrong. Why?+

The merged image is only stored when Maximize Compatibility was on when the PSD was saved. It is on by default, but if it was turned off, re-save the PSD with it on.
