Common questions
Why does it save as a PNG?+
Because rounded corners are transparency, and a JPEG has no transparency to store. Saving a rounded image as a JPEG doesn't fail — the clear corners are filled in with solid black, so you get your photo back with four black triangles. Switching the format is the only way to give you what you actually asked for, so we do it and tell you.
Is my image uploaded?+
No, for anything your browser can open. The corners are masked on a canvas on your device. (Formats the browser can't read are processed privately on our engine and deleted after 1 hour.)
What does 100% do?+
It takes the radius as far as the shape allows: half the shorter side. On a square that makes a circle. Past that the corner arcs would overlap and start eating the picture, so the slider stops there.
Will it work for a profile picture or an app icon?+
Yes. Crop it square first if you want a perfect circle, then set the roundness to 100%.
