Why 5 MB?+
5 MB is a common upload cap on forms, messaging apps and email threads. For a voice note, lecture or podcast clip, 5 MB is plenty and gets you under tight limits.
Will it still sound okay?+
We tune the bitrate to the audio's length, so short clips stay crisp. Spoken-word audio compresses especially well; long music tracks have to share 5 MB across more minutes.
