Compress a ZIP file.
Repack a .zip at maximum compression and re-encode the images inside — same files, same folder structure, just smaller. We never hand back a file bigger than your original. No watermark, no signup.

How it works
- 01
Add your ZIP
Drop in a .zip file, or click to browse. It's uploaded privately over TLS and deleted within an hour.
- 02
We repack it tighter
We re-encode any images inside and repack the whole archive at maximum compression — keeping every file and folder name exactly as it was.
- 03
Download it
Get the smaller .zip back. If it was already packed as tight as it goes, we hand back your original rather than a bigger file.
Also: compress Office files · compress a PDF · compress an image.
Common questions
How does compressing a ZIP make it smaller?+
Two ways. Many ZIPs are created with little or no compression (or are 'stored'), so simply repacking them at maximum deflate shrinks them. And if the archive contains photos or screenshots, we re-encode those images — which is usually where the real savings are.
Will it keep my folder structure and filenames?+
Yes. Every file, folder and name inside the archive is preserved exactly. Non-image files are kept byte-for-byte and just re-compressed harder.
What about already-compressed files inside (MP4, JPG, PDF)?+
Those are already compressed, so re-deflating them won't help much — but re-encoding embedded JPEG/PNG images still can. If nothing can be saved, we tell you and return your original untouched.
Is my archive private?+
Your ZIP is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed on our server, and both the upload and the result are deleted within an hour. No account, no watermark.
What about other archive types (RAR, 7z, TAR)?+
This tool compresses .zip files. To compress another type, convert it to ZIP with our archive converter first, then compress it here.
Is there a size limit or watermark?+
No watermark and no signup. Large image-heavy ZIPs are exactly what this is built for.
